The day, 12th June, 2016, was an auspicious occasion for all the Kalakul team members as it began its roller-coaster ride of quadruple dramas – the Kalakulotsav. The Utsav was inaugurated by Nalini Jamila on whose life the first of the four dramas is based: The life story of a Sex Worker.
She did so by applying make up to the four young female leads who were to portray her in the drama; from her childhood to her social service stage.
In each and every drama, make up occupies an important place. It not only accentuates the actor’s feature as well as defines the eyes and mouth, but also acts as a link to give a person’s face, the appearance an audience expects it to have, according to the character portrayed. So we must never undermine the effects, affects and necessity of make up.
After the inauguration ceremony, the drama was performed. Mandd Sobhann Gurkar, Eric Ozario, President, Louis J. Pinto, writer Arun Raj Rodrigues and Director of Kalakul Christopher D’Souza were present on the dais.
